Up until a few decades ago all
commercial vehicles would be signwritten by hand, but vinyl has since dominated this area. With businesses prone to changing or updating their vehicles or details, the relative permanence of hand
painted work may seem less appealing than easily-removable vinyl lettering and vehicle wraps. However there are still some businesses who require their livery to reflect their own craftsmanship or
quality.
Traditional signwriting techniques
can also benefit many restoration projects. A beautifully restored vintage vehicle deserves authentic finishing touches rather than vinyl lettering or coachlining.
